BOARD MEMBERS

Voldonza Usiku Ooko

Board Chairperson

Usiku not only leads our board as Chairperson but also brings extensive experience as an HR Manager at the Ministry of Interior and coordination of National Government.

He has a background in Human Resource Management, and he ensures that our organization attracts and retains top talent. He also plays a pivotal role in guiding our board with strategic vision and expertise in organizational development. Usiku is one of the proud beneficiaries of Twende Pamoja.

Valerie Wilson

Board Treasurer

Valerie first visited Ndhiwa in 1999 as a teacher and senior manager in a UK secondary school.  In collaboration with community members,  she founded NCEDP as a CBO in 2003 and established the first ICT Learning and Resource Center in Homa Bay County.

Val co founded  Team Kenya a UK registered charity in 2008  to work in partnership with the Ndhiwa community through  school  partnership, she is currently a Trustee and Partnership Coordinator. She  has many years of experience  in Board governance, operational leadership and financial management, strategic planning, project management and resource mobilisation.

Joseph Ambasa Agola

Board Member

Joseph Ambasa holds a Diploma in Public Administration and has dedicated his career to serving the community. He is the current Senior Chief for Lower Kayambo in Ndhiwa Sub-county and is deeply involved in local governance and administration.

His insights and dedication help guide our strategic planning and community engagement efforts, ensuring that our programs effectively address the needs of those we serve. He serves the Board as Public Relations and Security Member.

Pamela Awino Lowi

Board Member

Pamela holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with Special Needs and has been a dedicated teacher since 1991. She currently serves as the headteacher of Yiembe Primary School in Ndhiwa Sub-county.

She is a committee member for the sector policy for learners and teachers with disabilities in Ndhiwa and she oversees all special needs education in the sub-county. She is also the treasurer of Kombedi SDA Church and serves as the Vice Chair on our board.

Millicent Akinyi Okeno

Board Member

Millicent is a cherished member of our Twende Pamoja family, serving on the board as a community representative. She is one of our longest-serving members and a proud beneficiary, having been sponsored by Twende Pamoja to earn her certification in Hospitality and Catering.

Millicent’s journey with us has been truly inspiring. She previously dedicated her time to training women in tailoring and bead making, helping them develop valuable skills and gain financial independence. Now, as a board member, she continues to champion community causes and contribute to our mission with her unwavering commitment and passion.

Daniel Nyakado Kaluoch

Board Member

Daniel has extensive experience in the teaching profession, having started in 1992. Over the years, he has taught in seven different schools within Ndhiwa, Homabay County. He holds a Bachelor of Education in Arts from the University of Nairobi.

Currently, he is the Headteacher at Dago Primary School. Beyond his teaching career, he has taken on several key roles, including Secretary of the Wachara Sub Parish Church Development Committee, Chairman of the Ndhiwa Chapter Teachers’ SHG, and Former Lead Teacher of Raising Achievement Programmes. As a board member, he serves as the Finance Committee Member, where his expertise and insights contribute significantly to our financial planning and management.

In Memoriam: Vincent Jim Otieno
Former Operational Manager & Board Secretary

Vincent was much more than our Operations Manager; he was the cornerstone of Twende Pamoja. His 17-year journey with us was a testament to his brilliance and dedication. Starting as an IT Tutor in 2009, Vincent became the first-ever beneficiary of the Aspire for Scholarship program—a milestone that remained a source of great pride for our entire team.

As a leader, Vincent navigated our day-to-day operations with a rare mix of precision and heart. From overseeing the Learning Resource Center to building vital international partnerships, his work was defined by excellence.

We remember him as a mentor, a strategist, and a dear friend. His leadership shaped our past, and his legacy will guide our future.

Noven Owili


Finance Manager

Noven is a proud beneficiary of Twende Pamoja (TP) and currently serves as the TP Finance Manager, offering strategic leadership in financial management, donor compliance, accountability, and effective resource stewardship with integrity and professionalism.

Her journey with TP began in 2008 when she was in Class 7, during a period of severe financial hardship that threatened both her education and future ambitions. Coming from a vulnerable background, she joined the TP girls’ support programme, which laid the foundation for her transformation by restoring hope, purpose, and determination.

Through this support, Noven successfully completed her secondary education, pursued studies at the School of Accountancy in Nairobi, and later earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree. Today, her position is deeply meaningful. She not only manages donor resources but also stands as a living testimony to their life-changing impact.

Noven’s story embodies TP’s mission of empowering vulnerable children and youth to attain dignity, self-reliance, and sustainable opportunities, demonstrating that investing in a girl child transforms families, communities, and future generations.

Anatalia Adhiambo

Procurement/Onsite Finance Officer
Youth Representative at the Board

Anatalia is a proud beneficiary of Twende Pamoja. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Maseno University.

Anatalia is currently our Purchasing and Procurement Officer. As a dedicated advocate for youth, she proudly represents the youth on the Board, ensuring their voices and perspectives are heard in organizational decisions.

Winnie Atela

Administrative Lead | Board Secretary

Winnie holds a Diploma in Records and Information Management from Kisii University. Her expertise lies in organization and information management.

Winnie is the current lead of various mixed-gender activities, including the Brighter Futures and Book Club activities. She is also responsible for the management of our Community Library, ensuring it serves as a vibrant and resourceful hub for all community members.

Winnie Odero

Girls Empowerment Project Lead

Winnie is a proud beneficiary of Twende Pamoja and a graduate of Bindi Teachers Training College with a Diploma in Education.

She leads the Girls Empowerment Project with dedication, helping girls in her community navigate challenges and discover their potential. Winnie’s role involves designing impactful programs, creating safe spaces for girls to thrive, and advocating for their rights and opportunities.

Through her leadership, Winnie empowers girls to overcome societal barriers and build a future defined by equality, education, and opportunity.

Francis Okuku

Social Enterprise Officer/SEES Project Lead

Francis holds a Diploma in Agribusiness and currently serves as Project Lead for the Forest Garden initiative under the SEES program. He oversees planning, implementation and community training to establish sustainable environmental systems that improve food security, income and land restoration. With a background in agribusiness, Francis combines technical crop and livestock knowledge with project management skills to mobilize farmers, track impact and build resilient local value chains.

Jacob Ayoro
ICT Admin

Jacob Ayoro is an ICT professional with a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology, currently serving as the Head of the ICT Department. He oversees digital systems and manages social media platforms, while collaborating with project leads to support digital initiatives, including storytelling and content development that amplify community impact.

Salome Gero


Hospitality and catering & Project Assistant

Salome is a proud beneficiary, a proud mother, and one of the longest-serving staff at Twende Pamoja, with over 10 years of dedicated service.

She is in charge of the housekeeping, accommodation, and catering department, ensuring our Eco Cottages are welcoming and immaculately maintained. She also passionately supports women in table banking initiatives and champions skillful parenting practices, helping to build a stronger, more supportive community.

Rehema Dache

STEAM Project Lead

Rehema is a passionate football enthusiast with a knack for skill and strategy, particularly in her coaching approach with girls. In 2019, Rehema participated in the Owaka tournament, Wuod Chief, and Safaricom Chapa Dimba, where she played with the Karibuni Starlets of Twende Pamoja.

Currently, she dedicates herself to coaching and inspiring young girls through football. In a sport dominated by boys in our community, she passionately promotes inclusivity and empowers girls to excel on the field, making a profound impact through her coaching and mentorship.

Vera Akoth

Girls Empowerment Project Officer

Verah is a passionate advocate for girls’ empowerment. She is a proud beneficiary of the Twende Pamoja organization for the past 10 years. She now volunteers as the Girl’s Empowerment Project Officer.

Verah uses her mentorship experience to make a difference in the lives of young girls in the Ndhiwa community. She focuses on helping them navigate and overcome daily challenges through basic counseling, home visits, young leadership activities and health talk sessions.

Zalha Hamida

Girls Football Coach

Zalha is a Records and Information Management graduate. As a Girls’ Football Coach, she mentors and inspires young girls through sports, helping them build confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, and resilience both on and off the field. In addition, she supports Organizational communication and visibility through regular updating of social media platforms, creating engaging content that highlights program achievements, success stories, and community impact.

Fredrick Ochieng

Assistant Agricultural & Extention officer

Frederick is a dedicated agricultural professional with a Diploma in General Agriculture. He has built his career around supporting sustainable farming practices and improving agricultural productivity at the community level.
Currently, he serves as an Assistant Agricultural Officer under the TP “Under SEES” programme, where he plays an active role in implementing agricultural initiatives, advising farmers, and supporting field-based projects. His work focuses on enhancing crop production, promoting modern farming techniques, and contributing to food security efforts.
Frederick is passionate about agriculture and rural development, and he continues to expand his knowledge and skills to better serve farming communities.

Peninah Gesabo

Volunteer

Peninah is a dedicated Social Work and Community Development professional, holding a Diploma from Kisii National Polytechnic. She currently serves as a volunteer Project Officer at Twende Pamoja Organization, where she works closely with girls’ empowerment groups to promote education, mentorship, and life skills development. She is passionate about supporting vulnerable communities, advocating for gender equality, and creating sustainable opportunities that empower young girls to reach their full potential. Peninah is committed to driving positive social change through inclusive, community-based initiatives.

Brian Odhiambo

Grounds Maintenance Officer and Day Security

Brian is part of the Grounds and Maintenance team at Twende Pamoja, where he ensures that Karibuni Eco Cottages remain clean, safe, and welcoming. He also assists in the tree nursery, supporting activities such as potting, nurturing seedlings, and transplanting. Brian has been with Twende Pamoja since 2022 and is an active member of the youth group, contributing to both environmental and community initiatives.

Elisha Akite

Security Officer

Elisha serves as a Security Officer at Twende Pamoja, where he plays a key role in safeguarding the people and spaces that power our work. Known for his reliability and approachable nature, he helps create a secure and supportive atmosphere. He values teamwork and is always ready to lend a hand wherever needed.

Security Officer

Chrispine is a dedicated Security Officer who brings vigilance, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility to his role at Twende Pamoja. With a calm presence and a keen eye for detail, he helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all staff, students, and visitors. He takes pride in ensuring that every day at our centre runs smoothly and securely.

Moses Otieno

Demo Farm Assistant

Moses joined Twende Pamoja in January 2020 as the caretaker of our demonstration farm. With a wealth of experience in farm management, Moses brings passion, precision, and deep knowledge to everything he does. He is a powerful force behind the thriving farm, nurturing crops, improving soil health, and supporting our sustainable agriculture goals. Moses loves farming and takes great pride in his work, helping us create a living classroom for young people and the community to learn from.
