Usiku Voldonza
Board Chairperson
Usiku not only leads our board as Chairperson but also brings extensive experience as an HR Manager at the Ministry of Interior and coordination of National Government.
He has a background in Human Resource Management, and he ensures that our organization attracts and retains top talent. He also plays a pivotal role in guiding our board with strategic vision and expertise in organizational development. Usiku is one of the proud beneficiaries of Twende Pamoja.

Pamela Lowi
Board Member
Pamela holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with Special Needs and has been a dedicated teacher since 1991. She currently serves as the headteacher of Yiembe Primary School in Ndhiwa Sub-county.
She is a committee member for the sector policy for learners and teachers with disabilities in Ndhiwa and she oversees all special needs education in the sub-county. She is also the treasurer of Kombedi SDA Church and serves as the Vice Chair on our board.

Valerie Wilson
Board Treasurer
Valerie first visited Ndhiwa in 1999 as a teacher and senior manager in a UK secondary school. In collaboration with community members, she founded NCEDP as a CBO in 2003 and established the first ICT Learning and Resource Center in Homa Bay County.
Val co founded Team Kenya a UK registered charity in 2008 to work in partnership with the Ndhiwa community through school partnership, she is currently a Trustee and Partnership Coordinator. She has many years of experience in Board governance, operational leadership and financial management, strategic planning, project management and resource mobilisation.

Millicent Okeno
Board Member
Millicent is a cherished member of our Twende Pamoja family, serving on the board as a community representative. She is one of our longest-serving members and a proud beneficiary, having been sponsored by Twende Pamoja to earn her certification in Hospitality and Catering.
Millicent’s journey with us has been truly inspiring. She previously dedicated her time to training women in tailoring and bead making, helping them develop valuable skills and gain financial independence. Now, as a board member, she continues to champion community causes and contribute to our mission with her unwavering commitment and passion.

Daniel Nyakado Kaluoch
Board Member
Daniel has extensive experience in the teaching profession, having started in 1992. Over the years, he has taught in seven different schools within Ndhiwa, Homabay County. He holds a Bachelor of Education in Arts from the University of Nairobi.
Currently, he is the Headteacher at Sasi Primary School. Beyond his teaching career, he has taken on several key roles, including Secretary of the Wachara Sub Parish Church Development Committee, Chairman of the Ndhiwa Chapter Teachers’ SHG, and Former Lead Teacher of Raising Achievement Programmes. As a board member, he serves as the Finance Committee Member, where his expertise and insights contribute significantly to our financial planning and management.

Joseph Ambasa
Board Member
Joseph Ambasa holds a Diploma in Public Administration and has dedicated his career to serving the community. He is the current Senior Chief for Lower Kayambo in Ndhiwa Sub-county and is deeply involved in local governance and administration.
His insights and dedication help guide our strategic planning and community engagement efforts, ensuring that our programs effectively address the needs of those we serve. He serves the Board as Public Relations and Security Member.

Vincent Jim Otieno
Operational Manager & Board Secretary
Vincent is the senior member of staff at Twende Pamoja. Initially, he joined Twende Pamoja in 2009, as an IT Tutor. In 2010, he was sponsored by Twende Pamoja to pursue a Computer Engineering course at K.C.A University, becoming the first beneficiary of the Aspire for Scholarship program. His journey reflects his dedication and growth within the organization.
Currently, as the Operational Manager & Board Secretary, Vincent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. He manages the Learning Resource Center (LRC), ensures financial operations run smoothly, and leads Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities. Vincent also plays a key role in building partnerships between UK and Kenyan schools, as well as maintaining critical networks that support the organization’s programs.

Erick Otieno
Karibuni Social Entreprise Project Lead
Erick is our Karibuni Social Entreprise Project Lead, he leads initiatives focused on sustainable community development with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and social empowerment, He oversees projects that foster economic opportunities and resilience within the community.
His role includes leading different activities under the Karibuni Social Enterprise umbrella, such as demo farms, beekeeping, environmental sustainability & climate action efforts. Erick brings a collaborative approach to Twende Pamoja, engaging both the Education and Enterprise teams to create impactful, community driven solutions that align with the organization’s mission of promoting sustainable development

Olango Grace
S.T.E.A.M Project Lead
Grace is a dynamic and creative leader with a natural talent for innovation, known for her curiosity to “make and break things.” She holds a degree in Information Technology from South Eastern Kenya University and is deeply passionate about the intersection of Technology and Creativity.
She is our S.T.E.A.M. for Girls Feminist Leadership and Advocacy project, where she empowers girls to explore the exciting worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Additionally, she spearheads the Grants and Resource Mobilization team, where she drives fundraising efforts and resource management to support the project’s sustainability and growth. She also manages the organization’s website, ensuring a strong digital presence to further the project’s reach and impact.

Winnie Atella
Inclusive Empowerment Project Lead
Winnie holds a Diploma in Records and Information Management from Kisii University. Her expertise lies in organization and information management.
Winnie is the current lead of various mixed-gender activities, including the Brighter Futures and Book Club activities. She is also responsible for the management of our Community Library, ensuring it serves as a vibrant and resourceful hub for all community members.

Vivian Kaiga
WYSEE Project Lead
Vivian holds a Diploma specializing in Agricultural Extension and Community Development. She enjoys working with women and youths to create opportunities for economic growth and development within the community.
She joined Twende Pamoja in 2019 and she is currently leading the Women and Youth Social and Economic Empowerment Project.

Winnie Odero
Girls Empowerment Project Lead
Winnie is a proud beneficiary of Twende Pamoja and a graduate of Bindi Teachers Training College with a Diploma in Education.
She leads the Girls Empowerment Project with dedication, helping girls in her community navigate challenges and discover their potential. Winnie’s role involves designing impactful programs, creating safe spaces for girls to thrive, and advocating for their rights and opportunities.
Through her leadership, Winnie empowers girls to overcome societal barriers and build a future defined by equality, education, and opportunity.

Procurement and Education Officer
Anatalia is a proud beneficiary of Twende Pamoja. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Maseno University.
Anatalia is currently our Purchasing and Procurement Officer. As a dedicated advocate for youth, she proudly represents the youth on the Board, ensuring their voices and perspectives are heard in organizational decisions.

Salome Gero
WYSEE & KSE Project Assistant
Salome is a proud beneficiary, a proud mother, and one of the longest-serving staff at Twende Pamoja, with over 10 years of dedicated service.
She is in charge of the housekeeping, accommodation, and catering department, ensuring our Eco Cottages are welcoming and immaculately maintained. She also passionately supports women in table banking initiatives and champions skillful parenting practices, helping to build a stronger, more supportive community.

Jacob Ayoro
ICT Administrator
Jacob is a proud beneficiary and has been with Twende Pamoja since 2013, starting as Assistant Youth Group Secretary. Jacob holds a Diploma in ICT, he has grown into his current role as ICT Administrator.
Jacob oversees electronics maintenance, IT training for women and social media management. His expertise and commitment contributes to advancing technology access and education within our community.

Rehema Dache
Girls Football Coach
Rehema is a passionate football enthusiast with a knack for skill and strategy, particularly in her coaching approach with girls. In 2019, Rehema participated in the Owaka tournament, Wuod Chief, and Safaricom Chapa Dimba, where she played with the Karibuni Starlets of Twende Pamoja.
Currently, she dedicates herself to coaching and inspiring young girls through football. In a sport dominated by boys in our community, she passionately promotes inclusivity and empowers girls to excel on the field, making a profound impact through her coaching and mentorship.

Samwel Ochieng
Inclusive Empowerment Project Officer
Samwel is one of the beneficiaries that was sponsored by Twende Pamoja through his nursing primary school, high school and nursing education at Kenya Medical Training College. He is now a Kenyan Licensed Registered Nurse that is passionate about community service.
In his current role, he focuses on activities like Brighter Futures for children and Football for Empowerment, promoting positive behavioral changes in the Ndhiwa community.

Verah Akoth
Girls Empowerment Project Officer
Verah is a passionate advocate for girls’ empowerment. She is a proud beneficiary of the Twende Pamoja organization for the past 10 years. She now volunteers as the Girl’s Empowerment Project Officer.
Verah uses her mentorship experience to make a difference in the lives of young girls in the Ndhiwa community. She focuses on helping them navigate and overcome daily challenges through basic counseling, home visits, young leadership activities and health talk sessions.
