Our SGS programme is dedicated to empowering the most vulnerable girls in Ndhiwa through health, life skills, and well-being education. We strive to ensure their safety, boost their confidence, and support their academic and personal growth, paving the way for a brighter and more equal future.

Project One

Empowering Girls with Health, Life skill and Well-being Education

This project focuses on supporting the most vulnerable girls in our 16 partner schools across 10 locations in the Ndhiwa community. 
We Aim To
  • Ensure girls stay safe and build their confidence and leadership skills.
  • Increase school attendance and retention.
  • Reduce teenage pregnancies and child marriages.
  • Support girls’ attainment and progression to secondary school.
  • Prepare girls for future jobs and develop life skills.
  • Help girls understand and assert their rights.
  • Reduce poverty and gender inequality in the future.

Project Two

Inclusive Empowerment through Mixed Gender Activities

This project engages boys and girls in partner primary schools through a combination of classroom-based learning, mixed-gender football, reading for empowerment activities, and a community library.
We Aim To
  • Promote equality and teamwork.
  • Instil values and responsibilities of team membership.
  • Build confidence and leadership skills in both boys and girls.
  • Foster a culture of reading and learning.
  • Demonstrate that girls and boys have equal potential.
  • Ensure all children are equally protected by the Rights of the Child.

Project Three

S.T.E.A.M for Feminist Leadership and Advocacy (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths)

This project addresses the pressing issue of gender imbalances in STEM education and the underrepresentation of women in STEM-related leadership roles. It adopts a holistic approach, intertwining STEM education with feminist leadership and advocacy, aimed at empowering women and girls.
We Aim To
  • Encourage interest and proficiency in S.T.E.A.M subjects.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Promote feminist leadership and advocacy skills.
  • Prepare girls for future careers in S.T.E.A.M fields.
  • Empower girls to become advocates for gender equality and social change.
  • Train teachers with IT skills to effectively support and inspire girls in S.T.E.A.M subjects.

Programme 2

Promoting Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development (PESD)

The PESD Programme is all about helping our community thrive. We’re dedicated to supporting women and youth in Ndhiwa by offering hands-on training in agribusiness, entrepreneurship, and caring for the environment. Our goal is to empower individuals to become economically independent and sustainable, so they can make a lasting, positive impact on our community.
